Probably one or more files from your game download is corrupted.

To check it use WinMD5Free utility.

If it does not match, delete file.
Repeat for all files, that do not match.
Run Grand Theft Auto V exe again, Social club will start downloading missing files.

You can check re-downloaded files just to make sure.

Or your game should start automatically after download is finished!

Bonus: you can find a complete error log at C:\Users\username\*********\Rockstar Games\GTA V\launcher.log

Fix Crash on intro Windows 7

Rockstar has given a guide on how to deal with the issue by installing the Windows Media Player and completing the game installation on its Support Page:

Open the Control Panel

Click "Programs"

Click "Turn Windows Features On or Off"

In the resulting popup, make sure "Windows Media Player" is checked under the "Media Features" folder:

5. Click "OK" and wait for Windows Media Player to install

Update 4/19/15 I found a fix that worked for me...I bought the game and downloaded it from the social club, later, after the download i had this issue and after 12 hours of research i found this:
1. http://www.mediafire.com/download/0knmxobie2eb28p/GTA+V+CRC+checker+Executable.zip
2. download the checker from link above ^ and extract files
3. copy the directory of where GTA V is installed
4. go back to the checker and paste the directory (there is a picture as that shows how to paste)
5. press enter and wait for the checker to review the files
6. after it is done find the files with the red corrupt and remember the name
7. go back to the files of GTA V and delete the corrupted files (dont worry when you run the game it will download them again)
8. run the game as administrator and it should redownload the corrupted file(s).
9. enjoy the game

those that have this issue with the steam version i dont know if itll work but you can try.

this issue is caused by a corrupted file that was downloaded during the download process ( obviously ) so you kind of have to play the role of detective and find the corrupted file. this program helps you do it quickly. if it worked then great and if it didnt im sorry and good luck hunting.

I had the not matching x64b.rpf file but apparently it wasn't the issue cause my friend sended me that file from his gta steam files and it was the same as mine.
I unninstalled all c++ from the system using control panel then reinstall directx just like in the instruction from the link. Hope you will fix it too.

I just don't know why Rockstar have ignored everyones plee for this error, it is not like a single person has had this problem, quite a lot have, also I found out I was missing PlayGTAV.exe as well if that makes a difference
