How to get Android APPS working on Windows Phone 10 Preview [EASY GUIDE]

Microsoft has been working on Android APK support in Windows Phone 10. This guide will talk how to enable Android virtual machine on Windows Phone 10 Preview and install Google Play Android Store with further Android apps.

You will need:
Windows PC
USB Cable
Nokia Lumia Windows 10 Phone with at least 1GB of RAM. List of tested and working models:

•Nokia Lumia 820
•Nokia Lumia 920
•Nokia Lumia 925
•Nokia Lumia 928
•Nokia Lumia 929 (icon)
•Nokia Lumia 1520
•Nokia Lumia 830
•Nokia Lumia 930
•Nokia Lumia 730
•Nokia Lumia 435
•Nokia Lumia 635 (1GB RAM variant)

I will use Nokia Lumia 920 for this guide. It's running Windows Phone 8.1, so I'll need to update it to Windows Phone 10 first.

Updating to Windows Phone 10 Preview

Download Windows Insider app from Windows app store.

Enroll for Windows Phone 10 Preview Insider program, I recommend Fast Ring option for the latest Win 10 version.

Phone will reboot.

Go to Settings > Phone Update > Download Windows 10 update.

Enabling Android virtual machine and installing APKs

Download APK Windows 10 Insider tool to Windows PC.

Hidden Content:

**Hidden Content: Registered users only. You must click 'Like' before you can see the hidden data contained here.**

Install and open it.

Follow on screen instructions.
Go to Phone Settings > Updates > For Developers > enable developer mode and device discovery

Connect phone to PC via USB.

Click pair, phone will give code.

Enter code in developer app.

Drag Android App APK file and click install.

Install takes from half a minute to several minutes, depending on size of the APK.

Where to get Android APKs?

Search Google Play in web browser for an app you want.

Copy app page url from web browser

Convert app page url to APK download url here.

  When I install the APKtoWIn10M, it changes to spanish, and the app doenst respond. It thinks my phone is connected, when its not, and cant pair the app wit my phone .. Help?

  If you run Android apps on Windows Phone it's exactly the same, drained battery over night only in standby! Very slow and horrible app UI design.
  Microsoft even lost with WP10, because they tried to be like Android, messed all new Windows UI too.
  Rolled back to WP8.1, probably won't update to WP10 at all.

  Have you ever even tried an Android phone? I have two of them and have never had any issues. (I also have two Windows Phone -devices, so that's why I'm here)

  Accessing Android Root in Windows Phone 10 file explorer.
  
  Simply create two shortcuts in Windows PC.
  C:\Data\Users\DefApps\APPDATA\Local\Aow
  C:\Data\Users\DefApps\APPDATA\Local\Aow\mnt\shell\emulated\0
  Copy both to phone ********* folder.
  Access ********* folder in Windows 10 file explorer and system folders via shortcuts.

  Installing Gapps: Google Play, Google Framework and depended apps like Snapchat.
  
  Complete Accessing Android Root Guide and create Aow shortcut.
  Download GappsInstaller script.
  The latest version https://github.com/Marocco2/AM-GApps-Tool
  
  Pair your phone in APKToWin10M Insider tool.
  Run Gappsinstaller script 1Install.bat
  It took me round 3 minutes to push all files.
  Script will say "it finished, reboot phone". DO NOT REBOOT YET.
  Use Aow shortcut to access C:\Data\Users\DefApps\APPDATA\Local\Aow then go data\local\tmp\busybox
  Select Busybox file and Copy To, press up several times till you end up in Aow again, then go RootFS\system\xbin and hit yes to copy.
  Go to Aow\data\local\tmp\Gapps\app select all files and Copy to, go up till Aow and RootFS\system\app yes to copy all files.
  Copy further contents of
  tmp\Gapps\etc -> RootFS\system\etc
  tmp\Gapps\framework -> RootFS\system\framework
  tmp\Gapps\lib -> RootFS\system\lib
  Open for developers > turn off Developer mode.
  Reboot phone
  Turn on developer mode, device discovery, pair with APKToWin10M Insider tool again (may need to disconnect first)
  Press Enter on 1Install.bat script to continue to Part 2.
  This should go quickly, it will show "finished, restart phone", but DON'T RESTART YET. (Restarting with developer mode on will crash it)
  Go for developers, Turn off developer mode.
  Reboot phone.
  Turn on developer mode, device discovery, pair with APKToWin10M Insider tool again (may need to disconnect first)
  Press Enter on 1Install.bat script to continue and finish.
  Turn off developer mode and reboot.
  Turn on devoloper and run Google Play store.

  Thanks for this awesome work! - I tried the latest build in GitHub, I had to replace the wconnect.exe using the version from APKToWin10M otherwise it would cause a debug exception. I was able to install the initial set of APK's, however I was not able to locate anywhere the busybox files in the tmp folder, I was able to find the apk and copy it to the RootFS to modify the permissions. Is busybox still required? I wasn't sure if the installation process changed with the latest commits in GitHub.
